Sound corporate governance practices are an important part of PIRET's corporate culture.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees will consist of a minimum of five and a maximum of nine Trustees and shall be a majority independent. The Board is currently comprised of seven well-known and respected Trustees, five of whom are independent. All have strong real estate and public company experience. The Board currently includes two Sunstone representatives, although Sunstone does not have a right to appoint Trustees going forward.

The Board has established Audit, Compensation, Investment and Nominating/Governance Committees to assist in fulfilling its responsibilities. There shall be a majority of independent Trustees on any Board established committee.

No remuneration is to be paid to Trustees in the short term, other than out pocket costs incurred in attending Board or committee meetings. Conflict of interest and non-compete provisions are in place to govern the Board and senior management.

• Mr. Turner serves as Honorary Consul for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordon in Vancouver.
• In 2003, he received H.R.H. Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee Award for public service in Canada.
• Mr. Turner holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of British Columbia.

Jon Gordon , Trustee

• Founder and co-managing partner of Palladian Capital Partners, LLC, a private equity investment firm
• Previously, a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers and a Director in the M&A department at CSFB

Jim Bogusz, Trustee

• Chief Financial Officer of The Beedie Group

• Previously Chief Financial Officer of one of Canada's largest real estate lending groups

• Previously Vice President Finance for a major real estate development and construction company

• Holds numerous board positions including acting as an independent director of BC's largest road maintenance company

• Chartered Accountant since 1986
