Teresa Neto

Chief Financial Officer

Teresa Neto joined PIRET in 2016 and is the Chief Financial Officer. Her responsibilities include financial strategy, capital management as well as oversight for financial reporting, treasury, financial planning and IT.  Teresa has over 12 years of real estate experience.  Prior to joining PIRET she held previous CFO positions at NorthWest Healthcare Properties REIT, KEYreit and Retrocom REIT.  Teresa was also previously the CFO & Vice President, Financial Reporting of the Real Property Association of Canada (REALpac) where she led policy recommendations on the real estate industry’s transition to IFRS.  Teresa has a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation and a B.A. from Laurentian University.

 

Charlie Deeks

Vice President, Investments

Charlie Deeks joined PIRET in 2016 and is the Vice President, Investments and has completed over $900 million of transaction volume since then.  His responsibilities include sourcing, structuring and executing investment opportunities.  Charlie has over 14 years of real estate experience.  Prior to joining PIRET he was Portfolio Manager for Manulife’s Real Estate Private Funds and earlier worked in the global investments team at Oxford Properties and in research and valuation at Altus Group.  Charlie started his career in real estate appraisal at Altus Group and has a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from Queens University.

 

David Owen

Vice President, Asset Management

David Owen joined PIRET in 2016 as an Asset Manager and was promoted to Vice President, Asset Management in 2018.  He is responsible for the developing and executing on asset level and investment strategies, overseeing the performance of the individual assets and driving the valuation of PIRET’s North American portfolio.  David has over 8 years of real estate experience.  Prior to joining PIRET he worked in the investments team at Strathallen Capital a private equity real estate fund manager.  David started his career as an analyst at Atrium Mortgage Investment Corporation and has a Honours B.A. (Economics) from The University of Toronto and is a CFA Charterholder.

 

Kantaro Goto

Vice President, Finance & Corporate Controller

Kantaro Goto joined PIRET in 2016 as Vice President, Finance & Corporate Controller.  He is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of PIRET's properties and portfolio. Kantaro has over 13 years of real estate experience.  Prior to joining PIRET he worked at Build Toronto in their finance team and had previously been the controller at Retrocom REIT.  Kantaro started his career as an analyst at First Capital Realty and has a B.A. in Economics from Queens University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA).

 

Allan T. Saito

Vice President, Property Management

Allan Saito joined PIRET in 2013 and is the Vice President, Property Management.  He is responsible for the day to day property management of PIRET’s North American portfolio including overall profitability, operations, budgeting and tenant relationship management.  Allan has over 20 years of real estate experience.  Prior to joining PIRET he held Vice President of leasing positions at Build Toronto and at GE Capital Real Estate.  Allan has RPA designation administered by Building Owners and Managers Institute.

 

Jonathan Rovira

Vice President, Leasing

Jonathan Rovira joined PIRET in 2013 as Director of Leasing for Eastern Canada and was promoted to Vice President, Leasing in 2018.  He is responsible for all aspects of leasing across PIRET’s North American portfolio.  Jonathan has over 14 years of real estate leasing experience.  Prior to joining PIRET he held leasing positions at GE Capital Real Estate, Oxford Properties, and IGRI Advisors.  Jonathan started his career at Colliers International and has a B.A. in Economics and Urban Geography from the University of Toronto and is a Broker of Record from the Real Estate Council of Ontario.
